Nevertheless, as we all know nothing is perfect and it is not possible to satisfy thousands of people, kayak pool receives complaints from many of its customers. Some of these complaints are genuine while others are fraud. Many purposely do this to spoil the reputation of the company and many competitors follow the false method of competition.

For filing, you have to fill up complaint form. Consumer information is important. They do not disclose your identity, if the complaint publishes only the first name appears. While complaining clear mention of the product, service, company, store, website or person that you are complaining about is necessary. You need to be exact as many businesses have similar name. They have lawyers appointed to determine whether there is legal remedy to complaint. There is no charge for such consultation. Complaints can be of different levels.

Kayak pool complaints:

1.Rita of Upper Marlboro: In July 2005, an above ground pool was ordered. It was delivered in august and installation went on until 10 pm. As it was dark, the inspection could not be done and we signed the papers with condition acceptance that if there were creases in the liner they will fix it. Next, when the pool was filled the creases remained and the liner pulled away from the side. When contacted kayak it took them three weeks to come out. They just reattached the liner and finally asked us to empty the water to fix the creases. We waited up to spring that is March 2006. In March when we contacted no response was given to us. To solve this problem we ordered large decks, the decks was installed in May but the liners were not. They have been making promises since one year and have done nothing.

2.Sleve of Purcellville: (07/02/05): After the installation of the pool, the liner separates from the sides and bottom during any heavy rain. The separation allows water to wash between the liner and the earthen bottom and the liner have spoilt. The liner can no longer be reattached. Kayak was called and informed about 15 times but they remain unresponsive and pool remains unusable. The pool worth dollar 30,000 is complete waste and water cannot be filtered causing it to stagnate, a definite health hazard.

3.Richard of White Plains MD (07/21/04): Purchased a kayak pool on May 20, 2004 was installed on July 20, 2004. Immediately a small leak was noticed. We called the installer but he was out of town. Then the sales person was called , he sounded concerned and said he would speak to the owner and call right back but did not happen so. Main office was also contacted and they assured us immediate help but in vain. The small leak turned into large, the sand was washed away from under the liner and the liner busted. The water messed up the yard. No timely care was taken to avoid these problems.

Many such complaints have been registered against kayak pool. It is necessary you read them before buying one so you know what precautions to take. To buy proper pool is not easy to decide. Complaints made sometimes are heard and others are not. So better, weigh down the pros and cons of your options to come up with right decision.
